Re-Elect Judge Kathryn A. George

YOUR VOTE

"Kathryn George wins her reelection for Macomb County Probate Judge."

Dear Friends and Supporters,

I am grateful for your kind support during this difficult election. I believe that the "landslide" victory that we obtained reflects not only the support I enjoy but a belief held by the voters that judicial campaigns must be run in an ethical and professional manner.

Many people worked hard to achieve my "win." I know they worked both for me and for Macomb County, believing that my re-election was important for the county. Without the staunch support and hard work of these people, I would not have been able to reach so many voters.

My "committee" was made up of a group of smart, hard-working, ethical, kind and committed men and women. I consider each of them a blessing in my life. These "committee members" worked harder and harder as the election progressed. Also, as the election progressed, more people became involved in the committee. At one point, I reviewed in my mind what my committee consisted of and the nature of each of the members and realized that I could not lose this election because of their very special support.

The false, negative literature and ads put out by my opponent had the opposite effect she intended: it mobilized more people to help me. I received many, many calls and comments from upset people after they received my opponent’s literature. I also received more offers of assistance. More checks arrived in the mail, more locations for signs were offered, more people offered to help distribute literature and to work the polls. Those calls, comments, and good wishes, as well as the extra assistance, helped me believe that we would win by a large margin, and we did.

Thank you to the Macomb County voters. Thank you to my committee, and to each and every person who helped in any way. Whether it was voting or encouraging others to vote, walking and distributing literature, sending friend to friend cards, providing financial support, providing a beautiful website, putting up signs or offering locations, wishing me well or praying for a victory: Thank you very much. I deeply appreciate your support and your faith in me. I will continue to work hard to serve you and our community and I will continue to view my work not as a job, but as a vocation.

Sincerely,

Kathryn George
Judge of Probate

"Your vote for Probate Court Judge should be based on experience - NOT political mudslinging."
        - Probate Court Judge Kathryn A. George

Dear Macomb County Voter,

When you make your choice for Macomb County Probate Court Judge in this election, I sincerely hope your vote will be based on experience - not poilitical mudslinging.

My opponent in this election has engaged in a lie-filled political campaign never seen in a campaign for Judge in Macomb County.

Instead of presenting her qualifications for probate court judge, she has decided to "tear me down to build herself up." I refuse to get into the political gutter with my opponent for political gain.

On the other hand, my campaign has focused on my experience as your probate court judge. I am proud of my 100% attendance record, my record of probate court improvements, and my community service accomplishments.

Probate court judges make many important decisions that directly affect people's lives in mental, juvenile, will and estate probate cases.

All of my decisions as your probate court judge are based on facts - and the future of the people who come before me.

I hope you will consider this when you vote for probate court judge.

Sincerely,

Kathryn A. George

Letter from Dorothy Ellis:

"Judge George is compassionate, honorable, and fair."

"This letter is about probate Judge Kathryn A. George. Judge George is a well respected judge. I had a case before her that lasted about three years. Before I went to court for the first time, I asked God to give me a fair judge. When I walked into the courtroom for the first time, Judge George was on the case regarding an ederly woman. The ederly woman's family wanted to seek guardianship over her. Sometimes in life these things happen; however, Judge George needed to hear all the facts, before rendering a decision. She listened to both parties; she was so gentle with the ederly lady. My point is: Judge George is compassionate, honorable, and fair. It was refreshing that I had a judge who was going to listen. Judge George knows case law, and, although everything wasn't in my favor, I know it wasn't personal; it's just the law!"
