Len Reinowski
Macomb County Probate Court Administrator
"My 22 years experience in Macomb County Probate Court have convinced me that the probate court judge position calls for a special person to deal with individuals who are trying to cope with a personal tragedy in their lives, such as a death of a parent, spouse, or child, or needing a guardianship for a parent preliminary to placement in a nursing home or having to deal with a child in the juvenile system."
"Knowing the law is not enough. People expect and deserve a judge who is not only knowledgeable, but also has understanding, compassion, and sensitivity for those individuals who are appearing in court due to a personal tragedy."
"Kathryn George has exhibited those traits as a registered nurse and as an attorney whose practice has focused on helping people, like those who come before the probate court. She has also given of her time to charitable causes without the expectation of financial gain. For these reasons, Kathryn George has my enthusiastic endorsement for Macomb County Probate Court Judge."
Chief Judge Marylin E. Atkins

She worked exceptionally well with fellow board members and always displayed a temperament conducive to her quasi-judicial role. She possesses all the qualifications necessary to become a great jurist. Kathryn is a person who cares about her community and strives in all she does to make it better for everyone. She would be a fine addition to the Macomb County Probate Court."

Helps A Person In Need
July 6th, 2000
Dear Kathryn,
Fire Lieutenant Patrick O'Lear informed me that on Wednesday evening, July 5th, 2000 at 2156 hours, Engine 1 and Rescue 1 were dispatched to a personal injury accident on Dodge Park Road. Upon arrival they found you attending to a young male who had just been struck by a motor vehicle.
Lieutenant O'Lear and I both want to recognize your unselfish concern and actions. Thank you for taking the time to assist another person in need. We know you had just left a council meeting and could just as easily drove on by the incident as so many do after a difficult day of business. By stopping to help this young man, you acted in the truest spirit of a good samaritan and gave of yourself.
Your Fire Department is proud of your actions and lauds your compassionate response.
Sincerely,
Fire Chief John Childs
